Depression Could Form Over Eastern Atlantic
An area of showers, located a few hundred miles east of the Cabo Verde Islands is continuing to show signs of organization. However, the center is elongated still.
Conditions over the eastern Atlantic are expected to marginally conducive for development, likely enough for a tropical depression to form over the next few days. Ocean weather conditions will be less favorable towards the end of the week.

The National Hurricane Center is giving it a 50% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone over the next 5 days. They said this evening that "recent satellite-derived wind data indicates that the circulation remains elongated." However, "conditions appear conducive enough to support additional development of this system" and a tropical depression could form "during the next few days."
