Our Forecasts

What are our forecasts based on? What do they include? 

MinyanCast bases their forecasts on computer models, which are supercomputers managed by the U.S. government and Canadian government, among other organizations. These provide a display of atmospheric and on-the-ground data and forecasts, which is based on the data given to them by weather balloons, which are sent twice daily. 

Combined with local weather intuition and knowledge, MinyanCast is able to create a super-accurate forecast. In fact, MinyanCast beat out AccuWeather in a case study in July 2021, in addition to being more accurate than the National Weather Service and Weather Channel, among others. 

Other companies don't have meteorologists on the ground in our community. But we do. 

Other companies won't know the classic swings and events that happen in Baltimore. But we do. 

You won't get forecasts for when you walk to Mincha on a regular day or for walking to a relative on Yom Tov from another company. MinyanCast provides those forecasts.
