Zeta To Impact Gulf Coast Then Move Into Our Area

Zeta is about 400 miles south of the mouth of Mississippi River.
Zeta should become a hurricane tonight and although some weakening is possible before landfall Wednesday evening, it should be near or at hurricane strength.

Zeta should then bring rains northeast through the Tennessee Valley and into the Mid Atlantic.

Locally, 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected.
The rain should begin later Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, and continue through Thursday night.

Colder weather will settle behind this rain.

Highs will be around 50 on Shabbos under sunny skies.
