Conditions Deteriorating Along Gulf Coast as Delta Approaches
The local forecast is at the bottom of this article.
Winds are at 115 mph. Some weakening is likely today prior to landfall this evening. Rapid weakening is expected once it moves inland, and Delta should be a tropical storm tonight and a depression tomorrow.
4 to 6 inches are expected in other parts of Louisiana, and southeastern Arkansas.
This rain will lead to flash flooding.

Local affects from Delta are expected in the form of 1 to 2 inches of rain Sunday and Monday.
Rain should move in Sunday afternoon or early Sunday night. Several showers should occur overnight, possibly with heavy rain.
Additional showers are expected Monday, again with a possibility for heavy rain.
Overall, around 1.5 inches of rain could be expected. Depending on the exact intensity and duration, up to 3 inches could fall.
Showers are possible Tuesday and maybe Wednesday as another system moves through. This should be on the lighter side though.
High temperatures will be around 76 on Shabbos, with increasing cloud cover. Sunday should be around 72, and Monday will be just at 68. Temperatures could be lower if we get more rain.
