Tropical Depression 15 Passing North Carolina Coast

Tropical Depression 15, which formed yesterday afternoon, is now passing offshore of North Carolina.

There is a marginal chance of it becoming a tropical storm today but otherwise, no significant change in strength is expected. 

The depression could become a remnant low by Thursday. 

The system will move away from the east coast today. 

Some large swells are expected along the Carolina coastlines.
