Severe Storms Expected Tomorrow, Tornadoes Possible

After a soaking 1 to 1.5 inches of rain this evening, another round is expected tomorrow evening. 

There is a an Enhanced Risk of severe storms. 

The highest risk is damaging winds of 60 mph or greater. 

However, a tornado is also possible, and a few may occur area wide. 

Be alert tomorrow for Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Watches, and if a Warning is issued. 

Severe Thunderstorm Watch: Conditions are favorable for the development of severe storms.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning: A severe thunderstorm is imminent or occurring in your area 

-Move indoors, and avoid windows.

A severe thunderstorm is one of:

-Winds of 58 mph or greater

-Hail once inch (quarter size) or greater

-Tornado

Tornado Watch: Conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes. 

Tornado Warning: A tornado is imminent or occuring. 

-Move to the lowest floor in an interior room, away from windows. 

The SPC said "organized storms appear likely... A few tornadoes may occur... At least scattered damaging winds also appear likely later into the

 afternoon and early Thursday evening across this region."

Friday will be around 85, with sunny skies.
