Depression or Tropical Storm Forming In Caribbean
A tropical depression or tropical storm is forming in the Caribbean, and a Hurricane Hunter aircraft is en route to investigate it, the National Hurricane Center says.
This disturbance is a concentrated area of showers that currently does not appear to have a defined center. However, winds to tropical-storm-force are occuring in portions of the disturbance.
It is expected to become a tropical depression or tropical storm today before moving over Central America Wednesday night.
The first system to become a tropical storm would be called Nana, followed by Omar.
Farther east, a tropical wave will move into the eastern Atlantic in the next day or two. Development is possible over the course of the week.
