Extremely Large Teddy Becomes Post Tropical Near Canada
Teddy has become a strong and extremely large post tropical cyclone located 190 miles south of Nova Scotia.
"Teddy is an extremely large post-tropical cyclone", the National Hurricane Center said.
"Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 540 miles (870 km). Buoy 44150, located about 60 n mi [69 miles] north of the center, recently reported a significant wave height of 36 ft (11 m)."
Earlier today, waves of 42 feet were reported up to 100 miles north of the cyclone.
