Less Snow, But More Ice

The snow accumulations might be less, but it will still impact travel.

A glaze of ice between 0.1 and 0.25 inches is likely due to freezing rain.

Freezing rain is when it is warm in the sky but cold (below freezing) at the ground. So when rain falls it freezes on contact, making it very slippery.

Precipitation should begin as snow between 10am and 12pm.

This will become a wintry mix at around 4pm.
Snow will take over for the final 3 or 4 hours later tonight.
Hazardous travel due to snow, and then freezing rain and sleet, is expected this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

Be extremely careful when driving and walking during these times.

Tomorrow will be only 35 as the high.
