Forecast Trending To More Mixed Precipitation & Less Snow Accumulations
Computer models have trended towards more mixed precipitation on Wednesday, which would mean less snow accumulations. Another shift obviously could occur in the next 24 hours before the event ultimately happens.
Important note: The location listed as "Baltimore" is for the inner Harbor/BWI. Especially in this case, because of the tight gradient, snow totals here could be double what they get.
A low pressure area will pass just offshore, bringing lots of moisture. High pressure to the north will bring cold air.
However, there will be warm air drawn in from the ocean due to that low pressure system.
A tight gradient between lots of snow and little snow is expected.
We are in that middle zone that has fluctuated.

Precipitation is expected to begin around 1pm. Snow should be the first precipitation type, lasting a few hours.
A sleet mix is likely (precipitation is almost definitely happening, just this is the likely type). This should last the entire evening, before becoming all snow by midnight.
This sleet could limit the actual snow accumulations we see in the end.
However, still assume 3 to 6 inches are possible.
