Wednesday evening update: A Wind Advisory is now in effect from 6pm Thursday to 6am Friday for winds of up to 30 mph and gusts to 50 mph. 

Heavy rainfall is likely, and a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect Thursday evening and Thursday night. 

Thunderstorms are possible, mainly Thursday afternoon and evening. A tornado is possible as well.

* WHAT, South to southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to  50 mph expected.

* WHERE, Cecil, Southern Baltimore, Anne Arundel, St. Marys,  Calvert and Southeast Harford Counties.

* WHEN, From 6 PM Thursday to 6 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS, Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

... FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT... 

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of DC, Maryland and Virginia, including the following areas: in DC, District of Columbia. In Maryland, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Charles, Frederick MD, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Northwest Howard, Northwest Montgomery, Prince Georges, Southeast Harford, Southern Baltimore and St. Marys. In Virginia, Albemarle, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Culpeper, Eastern Loudoun, Fairfax, Greene, King George, Madison, Nelson, Northern Fauquier, Orange, Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Rappahannock, Southern Fauquier, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Western Loudoun.

* From Thursday afternoon through late Thursday night

* One and half to two and half inches of rain are expected Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. This may result in flash flooding of small streams and creeks as well as urban areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... 

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Expect some rain in the early morning Thursday. 
This will become moderate to heavy by mid-morning and then continue through the evening. 
The strongest storms should move through at around midnight. 
Then it clears out between 3am and 6am.
2 inches of rain are likely, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect. 

Gusty winds are expected, with gusts to 45 mph possible. 

Temperatures will jump to 60 before plummeting to near 32 Thursday night.
