As of 4:30pm, freezing rain was falling across the area. This will continue, mixed with some sleet through this evening.
The freezing rain should become a snow/sleet mix between 10pm and midnight, and then all snow between 12am and 1am, continuing until around 4am.
Snow accumulations were about 3 inches in this area. A thick glaze of ice is likely, with ice totals of up to 0.25 inches possible.
This will lead to extremely hazardous conditions for walking and driving.
Another 1-3 inches is likely tonight with the second round of snow and sleet.
With temperatures well below freezing tomorrow morning, any snow, sleet, and freezing rain will become hard-frozen. Again, take extra caution when walking and driving.
Any "liquid should refreeze later tonight, which could lead to treacherous road conditions, even in locations
that didn`t see much snow." (NWS)
Tonight will go down to 23, with a high of only 35 tomorrow.
