Thursday, January 27: Somewhat Warmer
Today will be near 32 under sunny skies. Friday will peak near 35 with mostly cloudy skies.
Snow will begin in the evening, continuing Friday night and into Shabbos day. Uncertainty is still high, especially because the storm hasn't even formed yet, so there is nothing to track in real-time. There are three basic scenarios:
1. We get nothing because the storm is too far offshore.
2. We get a moderate snowfall (2 to 5 inches) with the storm somewhat offshore.
3. The storm is closer in and we get more significant snowfall (6-10 inches).
Currently, the second scenario is most likely. 2 to 3 inches is likely.
Check back on our updates page at 5pm.
Regardless of snow, Shabbos and Motzei Shabbos will be bitterly cold. Winds will gust to 35-40 mph on Shabbos, keeping real feels in the single digits all day. (The actual high temperature will be near 24)
Lows will be near 12 Motzei Shabbos with real feels down to - 2. Sunday will be near 30 with plentiful sunshine.
Temperatures will improve throughout next week, getting back to the 40s on Tuesday and possibly near 50 towards the end of the week.
