Sunday/Sunday Night January 15
Synopsis: An area of low pressure will bring wintry precipitation as it approaches from the south on Sunday before intensifying as it passes overhead and moves north Sunday night.
Discussion: Sunday morning stays cloudy with temperatures rising through the 20s. Snow moves in by early afternoon and becomes possibly heavy for a time. Winds pickup and becoming gusty to around 30 mph. Sunday evening temperatures rise into the low 30s, snow will change to brief period of sleet before changing to a rain. Winds increase more with gusts to 50-55 mph for a time most likely between 10pm- 1am. Rain will be heavy at times before tapering off by by the pre-dawn hours.
Monday: Rain and snow throughout day but accumulations should be less then inch. Winds will gust to 40 MPH throughout the day. Highs in the mid 30s.
Snow Accumulations: Total snow accumulation 2-3 inches is likely, before a changeover to rain. Winds up to 55 MPH are possible for a time. Some power outages are possible. Roads conditions will be treacherous through Sunday evening. Road conditions should improve as the night goes on as temperatures rise into the mid 30s and precipitation changes to rain.
