Sunday, January 2: Wild Weather Swing
The next 24 hours will bring a wild but classic Baltimore weather swing.
A brief rain is possible late this afternoon into this evening. Temperatures will reach 63 this afternoon. Then they will drop by 20 to 25 degrees this evening to near 40, and ultimately into the 20s overnight.
This sets the stage for snowfall, which will come just 12 hours after 60+ degree weather. Snow is likely from around 2am Sunday night, ending in the early afternoon Monday.
There is a potential for 1 to 3 inches of snow, though the slightest shift in the storm track could mean less or more snow. The worst of the storm will be in southern Maryland, where several inches are possible.
We will have an update on this at around 6pm this evening on our weather updates page: https://www.minyancast.com/p/weather-updates.html
Expect temperatures near 39 on Tuesday with sunny skies. Wednesday and Thursday will be in the 40s.
Details obviously aren't certain this far out, but there is a potential for wintry weather Thursday night. We will have more details as it gets closer.
It will be in the 30s Friday and Shabbos.
