Thursday, October 14: Sunny and Warmer
We get a few hot and sunny days before it cools down to fall-like weather.
Although there isn't a visible fog, it is still quite humid. Therefore, be aware that, through mid-morning, your car windshield may fog over. Highs will be near 78 today, with generally sunny skies. Because there will be very little clouds, temperatures tonight will not be very different from the past few days, with lows near 60.
The heat will peak on Friday, with highs near 83. The record of 86, set in 1989, is going to be just out of reach. Still, it will be hot and sunny.
Shabbos will be much more active, with temperatures peaking near 78. Then a line of showers is expected to roll through in the evening. A second round of rain is likely late in the evening.
Very gusty winds will accompany either or both lines, with gusts to 45 mph possible. Temperatures will drop by 10 degrees.
Following these lines of showers, expect gusty winds of 30 to 35 mph, continuing into Sunday.
Highs Sunday will be near only 63.
