Friday-Shabbos, October 15-16: Hot Friday, Stormy Shabbos

Today is hot but just short of the record, with a much more active day on Shabbos.

Today, highs will be near 82. Combined with plenty of sunshine and humidity only dropping to around 60%, it will feel quite warm.

This will be a few degrees short of the record, 86, which was set in 1989.

Shabbos, temperatures will get to 78 by around 2pm. Then, between 2pm and 4pm, a line of showers will roll through.

These will likely bring heavy rain and perhaps some thunder. The main threat will be gusty winds of 40 to 60 mph, which could knock down tree limbs.

With this shower comes a sharp drop in temperature. Temperatures will go from 78 at 2pm to 63 by 5pm.

A second round of rain is possible, which could also bring gusty winds. 

Temperatures will be near 63 Sunday and 64 Monday.
