Friday - Shabbos, October 29-30: Heavy Rain Friday, Drying Shabbos
Today brings a lot of rain and wind, but we will be missing the worst of it.
In southern Maryland, there will be very high winds, and possibly a tornado. Along the waters, significant tidal flooding is expected.
Locally, however, we won't be as bad.
We already got rain early this morning, with more rain expected mid-morning.
Then a steadier and heavier batch of rain will move in around lunchtime. This will continue for the remainder of the day.
The worst of the rain will be from 3pm to 8pm, with torrential downpours possible.
Total rainfall of around 2 inches expected, with a high-end of 3 inches. If your basement is prone to flooding, this likely is enough to be a problem.
Winds will be gusty all day, and peak from 3pm to 8pm. Gusts will be up to 35 to 40 mph.
Shabbos day, a shower or two is expected in the morning, but nothing like Friday. Highs will be near 59 on Friday and 61 on Shabbos.
