Gusty Friday, Beautiful Shabbos, Showers Sunday, Cooler Monday
Gusty winds continue Friday afternoon, with a Wind Advisory in effect until 6pm (it was shortened from the original 7pm). Beautiful weather Shabbos before we get showers Sunday and cooler air arrives for Monday.
Winds of 20 mph and gusts to 45 mph are ongoing, and will continue through the afternoon. Breezy conditions will remain Friday night as this winds down.
Temperatures should go up another couple degrees, possibly cracking 80.
Then Shabbos is 71 and sunny, with only a slight breeze.
Much more active weather for Sunday is in store.
Highs will be around 69.
Ahead of a cold front, Showers are expected, with thunderstorms looking likely in the afternoon/evening.
These storms could be severe, with winds of 60 mph and small hail.
"Thunderstorms are expected to develop along and just ahead of the cold front as it advances into this region during the late afternoon and early evening", the Storm Prediction Center says.
"Damaging wind will be the main threats, but a few tornadoes and some hail will also be possible before the front moves offshore during the evening."
A Tornado can't be ruled out, but it's only a small chance.
The red indicates rainfall rates of 2 inches per hour.
It would most likely move through between 5pm and 7pm.
Total rainfall will be around an inch.
Keep in mind that with storms like these, they are very unstable, so it could come in a bit earlier or stronger.
Then cold air moves in behind these storms, with Monday being only 58 for the high.
