Sunday, September 12: Hotter With Hazy Skies

We will be getting some smoke from the wildfires out west, resulting in hazy skies. Otherwise, sunny skies are anticipated. It will also be a bit breezy. The haze and breeze combined may keep temperatures in check slightly, with highs near 88 expected.

Tomorrow, temperatures will peak near 91. Again, generally sunny skies are expected.

Highs will be near 90 on Tuesday and Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies.

Thursday, Yom Kippur, is looking mostly dry, with highs near 85. There is a chance for an afternoon or evening storm.

An area of showers and thunderstorms over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico is increasing in coverage and density. Conditions are favorable for development, and a tropical depression should form today or tonight.

Heavy rainfall is expected along the western and northwestern Gulf coasts.
