Thursday, December 22: Rainy

Highs will be near 40 today, with periods of rain throughout the day. Rain will continue tonight until 1am, with temperatures rising to near 52 in the first par t of the night. 

Friday, a line of rain showers starting at around 7-8am will end with snow, as temperatures rapidly drop into the 20s between 7:30 and 9am. Temperatures will continue to drop during the day. The rapid change in temperature coupled with a burst of snow could cause a flash freeze of roads. Avoid travel then, as roads could quickly become slick and heavy with traffic.

Winds will be gusting to 45 mph, particularly Friday afternoon. This will keep wind chills in the single digits Friday, in the negative single digits Friday night into Shabbos morning, and the single digits on Shabbos. Winds will gust up to 30-35 mph on Shabbos. 

Friday night, temperatures will drop to near 6. Shabbos will have a high of 20 with mostly sunny skies. Sunday will be near 24 and sunny. Monday will be near 28 and sunny. Tuesday will be near 33 and mostly sunny, with Wednesday near 38.
