Smoky skies are expected today, ahead of a return of showers and thunderstorms heading into next week.

Highs will be near 85 with mostly sunny skies, although hazy skies and areas of smoke are expected. A Code Red Air Quality Alert is in effect for today, with the worst air quality expected this morning. 

Friday will be near 86 with a shower or thunderstorm possible between 8pm and 10pm. Shabbos will be near 85 with a shower possible between 4pm and 6pm. Additional showers are possible Motzei Shabbos, overnight. 

Sunday will be near 85 with showers and thunderstorms likely between 2pm and 7pm. Monday will be near 87 with a shower or thunderstorm possible in the late afternoon. Tuesday will be near 87 with an afternoon shower possible.
