Monday, December 6: Warmup Today Crashes Down Tonight
We will get a brief shot of warm air today before temperatures plummet tonight.
Highs will be near 63 today, though it will be breezy. Winds will be increasing this morning, with gusts up to 35 mph this afternoon. There will be clouds but some sunshine this morning into the afternoon.
Periods of rain are expected between 4pm and 9pm, with gusty winds up to 50 mph during the rain.
Following that, winds will gust up to 30 mph overnight. Additionally, temperatures will be about 20 degrees colder tonight than they were last night.
Temperatures will drop by about 15 degrees right during and following the rain, and eventually bottom out near 30 tonight.
Tuesday, highs will be near 40 with some sunshine finally breaking through.
Details are murky for Wednesday, with the potential for snow. The storm is currently progged to pass by well offshore, which calls into question just how much precipitation will occur.
Assuming we get precipitation, which currently is the likely scenario, we could get 1 to 2 inches of snow.
An update will be provided on our updates page mid-afternoon today. Additionally, information can be found on our winter page at winter.minyancast.com.
The roller coaster ride won't be over, with Thursday near 40 but Friday near 50 and even warmer weather likely for Shabbos.
